His friend got him balloons and had him walk through all of Santaland with the balloons. Shortcake is partial to the pirate monkey birthday balloon.
Willy also came to visit Santa on Monday. He visits multiple times per year. He came with his roller skates and a full complement of stuffed animals. We told him he couldn't wear his skates into Santaland, so he had to put them on in the house for the photo. After his visit, he hung around by the entrance talking to Gingerbread and Teddy Bear.
Other than Willy's visit and Cider's birthday it was a fairly slow day. There was one man who broke Shortcake's heart. He was exiting Santaland, and he asked if Santa would be there after Christmas. Shortcake said no, he had to go back to the North Pole. The man responded "Divorce sucks. I don't get my kids until December 26th this year." Shortcake didn't know what to say because Santa couldn't come back to Macy's just for this man, and yet, it broke her heart that he couldn't take his kids to see Santa.
