Holly (aka Spatula) made cookies!
They were delicious,
and Shortcake had a bit of a rough day (again, weird elf scheduling, long line,
etc), so she ate cookies before she ate her salad. Usually, she tries to wait until after lunch to eat baked deliciousness,
but… Shortcake has weak moments. She did
eat her salad, so she still gets points for eating her vegetables. And Santa brings in donuts every morning, so
it’s almost a moot point. Shortcake gets
the donut with red and green sprinkles, no questions asked. It’s the Strawboss donut. Edgar keeps trying to take it, Shortcake
fends him off with her Strawboss Ninja skills.

Speaking of Strawboss Ninja Skills, Shortcake’s skills look
more like a slapstick routine. The
strawboss chair sits right next to a tower of water cups (Santa needs to stay
hydrated, don’t you know), and Shortcake has a tendency to knock cups
over. At least once a day. She asked Holly and Santa is all the
strawbosses had this problem, they replied that only Shortcake did it with a
slapstick flair. Shortcake also has a
tendency to knock toys off shelves when setting Santa’s water, to run into
doorjambs at full speed, and trip over her own feet. Really, it’s amazing she’s survived this
long.
